To Know God...and Make Him Known

"O Lord Almighty, blessed is the one who trusts in you." Psalm 84:12

Aloha Not a day goes by that I don't ponder the steadfast, faithfulness of God. He is sturdy and stable no matter what is going on in the world around us! This past week and half, especially, I have looked around in awe and wonder and thought, 'only God'. Every moment, every season, every part of my life impacted by our magnificent God. Many of the moments and seasons weren't easy, none of it done by my own strength, but all was enabled by the power of God working in and through me to complete all the purposes of God. Everything I've walked through, whether difficult or easy, has been worth it because I've become even more acquainted with the unsurpassed goodness of God. There is so much to rejoice in if we would be willing to take moments, each day, to look at what the Lord has done and say thank you. Thankfulness will lead us to praise God. As we give God the praise that only he is due, we will find ourselves led to a place of awe inspired worship. Our hearts draw near to him each time we walk the road of thankfulness. He Never Stops WorkingThere is much to bring for this update. From the testimonies of our teams that were on the field in Nepal and Mazatlan, the many testimonies in our Spring Quarter School of Worship, to the pioneering of our Bi-Lingual (Korean) School of Worship for the coming Winter Quarter. We have much to thank God for and we will tell many of these stories over the coming months. But there is one thing that we are most grateful to God for in this season.Zion Loren McCallOur handsome baby boy, Zion, was born on June 3, 2023 weighing in at 6lbs 8oz and 21 1/4 inches long. We are so thrilled for this addition to the 'McCalls on Mission.' To quote Kai as he was holding his baby brother, "Our lives are changed forever." He was born peacefully in our living room with worship music playing in the background. Laila and Rhema were incredibly helpful as labor progressed and we are grateful to our doula and Mid-wife for the incredible care, love, and support they brought. Liz is basically a warrior princess and I've finally come to realize that she is much tougher than me. 🤣 Summer Has ArrivedWith all that said, it has been about year since our family was in So Cal. We are looking forward to reconnecting with everyone and introducing Zion to our family in California; all of you! Additionally, to tell the many stories of God at work in the nations! LastlyThank you for being a part of our McCalls on Mission team. The salvations, the trainings, the evangelism, the Bible distribution, the Oral Bible Translations, scripture songs being written in newly translated languages for the first time, and more (over the years) have happened because of your generous support of our family. It does not go unnoticed and our hearts are filled with gratitude for the team that God assembled when he launched us from Grace Fellowship Church. Together we have seen the Kingdom of God advance in tangible ways and we know that there is more on Gods' heart; additional people to be a part of the prayer and financial team to see even greater things that are still to be done in the nations of the earth. All languages, on the face of the earth, will have portions of scripture in our lifetime. I look forward to the completion of that task, the completion of the full word of God in all languages, and worship arising to Jesus in every language. And so we pray, God, renew our spirits and draw our hearts to you, that our work may not be, to us, a burden, but a delight; and give us such love to you that will sweeten all our obedience. Help us to serve you with cheerfulness and gladness like a child, delighting ourselves in you and rejoicing in all that is to the honor of your name; through Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior. Amen.Grace and Peace,Chris, Lizzi, Malakai, Laila, Rhema, Moses, and Zion
