Graduating Into Glory

I hope this email finds you well. I wanted to share with you a poignant and inspiring story about the life of Loren Cunningham, the founder of Youth With A Mission (YWAM). On the morning of October 5, 2023, at the age of 88, Loren uttered words that would leave an indelible mark on the hearts of those who knew him and the countless lives he touched: "The days of my life have come to an end." The following morning he went to be with Jesus.In a remarkable testament to the power of prayer, Loren had miraculously lived ten months longer than doctors had anticipated. His journey was one of unwavering faith, obedience, and a profound commitment to spreading the message of love and hope found in the gospel.Loren Cunningham embraced the command of Mark 16 to "go into all the world and preach the gospel." With an undeterred spirit, he traveled to every nation on earth, breaking barriers and paving the way for people of all backgrounds to become missionaries. His vision transcended borders, and his impact was both global and deeply personable.One of Loren's most significant contributions was his dedication to including the whole body of Christ in taking their place on the mission field. He empowered women and he showed young people that they, too, could find purpose in their relationship with God and make a meaningful impact on the world around them.What set Loren apart was his profound love for Jesus, his unwavering integrity, and his resilience in the face of both praise and criticism. His obedience to the call of God provided a platform for countless individuals and families, including ours, to walk out their own callings.Many within our circle have been directly impacted by the work of Youth With A Mission. Loren's legacy lives on through ministries like School of Worship, where individuals are being trained, leaders are being raised up, and missionaries are being sent out to continue the mission that Loren dedicated his life to.As we remember Loren Cunningham, let us honor his legacy by continuing to carry the torch of faith, obedience, and love for Jesus. The impact of his life will forever ripple through the lives of those he touched, and we are grateful to be part of the ongoing journey to fulfill the Great Commission.May we all be inspired to walk in the footsteps of this remarkable man and continue to spread the message of hope and redemption to the ends of the earth.
