Scripture StrengthensHave you ever felt like God gave you a dream? A vision for the future that you just can't shake? Have you ever wondered how it's ever going to come to pass? This seems to be happening more and more in my life. Each time I've obeyed one thing I've found God releasing an even bigger vision that seems unattainable...that seems impossible. Yet, I find myself encouraged that they will happen because I know they are the dreams on God's heart. How have I known? I've immersed myself in the Bible over and over. I've gone deeper in knowing God because of His word. His word has given me strength to believe for more than I believe is possible. We see stories of the impossible time and time again in scripture. We learn about who God is and what is on His heart through scripture. His word is a lamp for our feet and a light for our path. It supernaturally gives strength to us. When we know Him better we know ourselves even more. Mazatlan, MexicoCurrently I'm (Chris) in Mazatlan doing a Pastoral visit with a team from School of Worship that I sent on outreach here. They have been on the field since before Christmas. Originally, my outreach coordinator for SOW was going to do this Pastoral visit but as it turns out, the Lord really wanted me here. The past 5 days have been spent hearing what God has been doing in each individual, helping the team course correct where needed, celebrating all that God has done thus far, and giving words of encouragement for how the next half of outreach can look. Needless to say, I'm so proud of this team, how they have persevered through hard situations, and come out on the other side more unified; more dependent on God. The Lord's purposes are definitely prevailing. God has touched many people through their efforts. I particularly enjoyed going to the hospital with the team to sing worship over the patients and pray for the specific needs of many over a two hour time span. It was incredibly exciting to see God answer prayers as we went.Additionally, the YWAM Mazatlan base has recently given approval for a Worship Department to officially be formed. I had the honor to be invited into all that God is doing and to help them develop the structure so that it will be able to carry all the dreams they have for now and the future. What a privilege to lift up the latin voice and sound. Excited for many more returns to this place and co-laboring with my friends for the sake of the Gospel going forth in such a thirsty land.New AlbumAt the end of this month I will be traveling to Nashville to record a solo worship album to continue the momentum that has been created through our first EP's with YWAM Kona Music. I'm excited to help pioneer music coming out of Kona from individual artists as we work on a new album for YWAM Kona Music collective.
