To Know God...and Make Him Known

"But when the goodness and loving kindness of God our Savior appeared, he saved us, not because of works done by us in righteousness, but according to his own mercy, by the washing of regeneration and renewal of the Holy Spirit, whom he poured out on us richly through Jesus Christ our Savior..." Titus 3:4-6

Goodness and Loving KindnessWhen I recently read this passage in Titus above, I was awestruck by the history of God's love in my life. Just the  phrase 'when the goodness and loving kindness of our Savior appeared...!" When God enters the equation, EVERYTHING changes. The intertwining of our thoughts and emotions with the mind of Christ, the inter twisting of our hearts affections woven into the heart of Christ. I began to imagine just how much more richly God wants to pour out His Spirit on me through Christ. I can, dimly, imagine the riches of God's love...but the true realization of all the riches of God is far beyond what I could ever imagine or deserve! I'm so grateful that it's not by my (our) works, but because of God's great mercy! If you truly grasped this over abundant, lavishly rich God, who ever increasingly wants to pour out His riches over you, in a fuller way, what would change about your life today? It's a great question to ponder. For myself, fear of man would have to bow its knee to Jesus. Caring about what other people think about me or what I'm doing with my life would fade to the background because hearing and obeying Christ would continually be more important to me (and it is more important to me). May God's glory cover the earth as the waters cover the seas and may we be activated into our roles as we understand the lavish, undeserved, love of God in our lives.We Do This TogetherThank you so much for standing with us in this mission that God has sent us on as a family. Without your partnership, financially and in prayer, none of this is possible! We only have short intervals in Southern California this summer but be on the look out for an email for a hope-filled 'McCalls on Mission' hang out and catch up.#EBPN or End Bible Poverty NowHave you ever had this thought about our missions work? "Chris it's awesome that you lead the School of Worship in Kona but it really feels secondary to the 'true' call of missions, or missionaries." Please don't feel ashamed if you have. You wouldn't be the first person. To help you get a wider perspective on this, I refer you to my friend Dr. Gilles Gravelles. He's been in the world of missions and Bible translation for (possibly) longer than I've been alive...and I just turned 40. He says this, "Songs are no longer just a 'nice', secondary way to communicate the Gospel. While print will always continue to be important, mission strategists now understand how important orality and song is in learning and retaining Scripture. It is beautifully insightful and filled with real life examples of the importance of School of Worship and the strengthening of the global work in missions. Click HERE to watch. Also, if you haven't realized...for the first time in history, we live in the generation that will see a portion of scripture translated into every language on earth. These are very special days that we are living in...and YWAM is poised, as the boots on the ground, to deliver these translations as soon as they are finished. School of Worship is poised to take these translations and boost bible engagement through the roof as we deliver scripture.New AlbumAs you know, I travelled to Nashville a while back to record a solo worship album! I'm excited to help pioneer music coming out of Kona from individual artists as we work on a new album for YWAM Kona Music collective. I poured everything I could into these songs. Many tears were sown into the making of this record and I'm so proud of this offering to Jesus. Please pray with me as the time draws nearer for the singles to begin releasing this summer! I'm still in need of funds for this project. If you'd like to contribute financially, click HERE. I'd be incredibly grateful. I was looking to raise $12,000 for this project. Currently, I've raised around $3,000. I know God will provide. Norway and MexicoAt the end of this month, we (Chris and Rhema) will be traveling to Norway to be with my friends for an arena gathering called The Send. This is a gathering meant to bring together European believers and to catalyze them into the mission fields of the earth led by YWAM. We are believing for a huge activation of every day believers unto a huge wave of missionaries across the world. Pray with us as all the final preparations are underway. At the end of July, our whole family will be traveling to Mazatlan, Mexico. I (Chris) will be teaching in a School of Worship and we will also be participating in street evangelism across the city. Pray for the students hearts and minds. Pray for those that God is preparing; to hear and receive the good news of Jesus as their Savior. We are so grateful for each one of you. Thank you for taking the time to read this update. Thank you for your steadfast support of God's calling on our lives. Thank you for your obedience to God each and every day.
