To Know God...and Make Him Known

McCalls

On Mission

Aloha

“God the Father, thank you for giving us Jesus, the son, to be Savior and Lord. Give us all the grace we need to rejoice in our salvation and especially in His Lordship. Empower us by your Spirit we pray.  Amen.”

Grateful...

One of the main things I’ve had on my mind this past few weeks is gratitude. I am so immensely grateful for all that God is doing in my life, my families life, and in the world. There can (and is) so much hate in the world. Satan has done a great job to stir up division and blind many from seeing the goodness of God. But despite all the things coming against us, the power of God inside of us is stronger than he who is living in the world. I’m so stirred by the acts of faith and obedience that I read in the bible. I’m even more stirred by the acts of faith and obedience that I see in my brothers in sisters who are following the example of the saints who’ve gone before us. As I’ve fixed my eyes on Jesus, He’s opened my eyes to see what He’s actively doing in the world and not focus on what Satan is doing. I love others better when I’m focused on Jesus.

School of Worship...

We are already at Week 8 out of 12 weeks for the School of Worship. It has been a labor of love. We’ve studied through Biblical Worship, Developing Leaders and a Culture of Honor, Excellence in Music, Prayer/Intimacy/Intercession, Worship with the Holy Spirit, and Worship & Missions/Sounds of the Nations so far. We’ve also already completed one book reading and report assignment. We are now into the second book, along with already completing three songwriting assignments and over halfway through our reading and study of the Book of Psalms. It’s been such a rich time with our students on top of all the practical work they have been doing such as leading two-hour worship and intercession sets every week, instrument/voice lessons, and other worship leading times throughout the campus. Pray for my students and staff as we’ve had so much spiritual warfare during this school and I know there is more to come. But…we’re not surprised by it and neither is God!! So we will run headlong into the battle so that these students will be even more equipped to release their sound and the sounds of worship from every nation!

Thanksgiving...

We all have so much to be thankful for. Followers of Jesus should be the most grateful people in the world because we know what we have been saved from and into. As we have a holiday devoted to thankfulness, let us be a people who stir our hearts to thankfulness each and every day. It will change the way we live. It will be so much easier to live in simple obedience to Jesus and it will show the world that we actually carry something different…the power and presence of Jesus. I’m thankful that God’s Spirit empowers me to live fruitfully under the Lordship of Jesus. He is the best King/Leader ever. I’m thankful for how all of you support us financially and through prayer which allows our family to truly be the McCalls on Mission. We long to see Jesus made known in every nation and to disciple nations. Without you, we could not live out this dream that has been on God’s heart since the beginning of time. Lastly, we’re so grateful for the blessing of Moses Walter into our family. Children are such a blessing and we continue to walk in fear and trembling as we disciple our children to Know God and Make Him Known.

Blessing...

May the Lord bless you and protect you.

May the Lord smile on you and be gracious to you.

May the Lord show you his favor and give you his peace.
