We Leave For Norway...THIS MONTH!

It is astounding to me that we already leave for Norway in just 3 short weeks. These past two months have been so full with training, intercessory prayer sessions, worship sessions, local outreaches, evangelism, and people being radically encountered by our risen Lord; Jesus of Nazareth. 

Just a couple weeks ago, Tom the base leader of YWAM Maui, came and did a worldview overview putting answers to the basic questions of Origin, Condition/Nature, Morality, Destiny, and Truth side by side for the Animistic/Eastern Worldview, Secular Worldview, and Biblical Christianity Worldview. All 12 teams are better equipped in understanding just how to interact with the worldview of the nations they are all going to thanks to Tom. 

What's even more fun, is to see how our kids are getting prepared for outreach through their preschool. They have been growing in boldness to pray for people they don't know and the prayers they pray for others are bold! Liz and I always talk about how important it is for our children to see us model the Christian life. We have been convicted in the recent week and so we are going to step out of our comfort zone and allow God more of our "normal" life as we grocery shop and relax at the beach on weekends. We want to be better models of how God can work through us as His hands, feet, (and mouth) even during a time not set aside for "God work."

* Our entire Norway team will raise the finances needed to go on outreach.

* God would give us visions of how He wants us to conduct ministry and outreaches in Norway (our team is filled with great speakers and musicians).

* God would bring unity in our team for His glory.

* That God would prepare our children for the outreach phase and the vital role they are going to play in our ministry.

May we all throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles us so that we can run with perseverance the race marked out for each of us. Let us each fix our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith who considered it JOY to endure the cross for us so that we don't lose heart or grow weary. Jesus is the same yesterday and today and forever. Amen.
