Kenya and Israel? Oh ya and France!

To Know God...and Make Him Known

"But seek first the Kingdom of god, and His righteousness; and all these things will be added unto you."Matthew 6:33

God's Kingdom First

This reminder is so present in our minds today;  more than it has been in recent years...and we are so grateful for it!! I love how in this passage of Matthew 6:33, we find ourselves being reminded by Jesus to not make the ruling factor of our lives be what we will eat or drink, or even (do I dare say) where and how we will live, but to be absolutely concentrated on God. Oswald Chambers puts it this way, "The great concern of our lives is not the Kingdom of God, but how we are to fit ourselves to live. But Jesus reverses the order. He says, get rightly related to God first, maintain that as the great care of your life, and never put the concern of your care on the other things." I'm truly grateful that the God of the universe, the God that we love and serve, is a God who loves us and keeps His promises from generation to generation. May we trust God with our whole lives and not just bits and pieces of them.

Nairobi, Kenya

I have spent a remarkable amount of time processing and seeking God to understand all that He did while Kai and I were there. Even six weeks out, I’m still processing and mostly brought to awestruck wonder of our great God. Here's one story of God's mighty hand during this trip. Kai and I worked on a video together which tells a bit of Kai's story and what He sensed God spoke to him and did in and  through him during our time. You can watch it HERE.

Pokot and Samburu

The conference was marked by the Holy Spirit and was a catalytic time of unity between the many tribes of Africa. The second day of the conference, we sensed the Lord wanting to bring reconciliation and healing from pain. There were two tribes, in particular, the Pokot and Samburu. They have been at war for a 100 years and the government, military, and any other group have not been able to help bring peace to these tribes. That morning we believed God wanted to start something through the believers in those tribes. These are warrior tribes whose men can go out into the wilderness and kill lions with spears. Each week, these tribes have been killing one person from the other tribe. It’s been terrible and there’s been no movement forward. These two tribes had been tolerating each other at the worship conference, but this particular morning, we brought them to the front to pray for reconciliation. The Holy Spirit came powerfully and the men who had been completely ignoring one another began to embrace and weep in deep repentance to one another. The women followed and it was a good hour of travailing with the Lord, worship, and blessing what God was doing. It was a powerful moment for everyone in attendance. As I explained to Kai what was happening, he came to the front with me and I got to teach him how to lay hands and pray for people in line with what the Holy Spirit is doing. I’m so grateful for what God did! That afternoon I was able to teach a break out session on Principles of Intercession. It was a rich time of teaching and answering questions. These tribal groups are hungry to learn and grow in the Lord!

Prayer Request

This past weekend I returned home from a remarkable teaching and worship ministry trip in Paris, France. I will definitely be telling more stories from Kenya and France in the updates to come because those stories are worth telling! They will also bring tremendous glory to God. But a big need we have is for our prayer warriors to join us in this important request. During my layover in San Francisco on my journey home from Paris, I received word that the house we have been renting for nearly 3 years is going to be put for sale. Many of you would know that God has given us tremendous vision for land, a bigger home, and "roots down deep" in Kona for the blessing of Hawaii to the nations, for revival in the Hawaiian Islands to the nations, songs being born in the islands going to the nations, and a place of retreat for many ministry leaders and 'worship artists'. There's a real sense that God is showing us that we became too comfortable in this home and neighborhood and that His vision for our family was much bigger. We are so grateful for that home and the blessing that it has been and we see that it is time to, again, move forward with tremendous faith. Would you join us in praying for wisdom, discernment, and peace as we trust God to provide new housing for our family of 7. Thank you for your steadfast prayers and partnership in this matter.

Final Remarks

Liz and I cannot even begin to express our heartfelt gratitude for the team that God has gathered around us. Thank you for doing missions around the world with us, praying for us, believing with us, trusting God in all things with us! We are expectant for many breakthroughs this year and we will be filled with much celebration knowing that it wasn't us, the McCalls, but us, the family of God walking out 'Christ in us, the hope of glory' together. We pray blessing, favor, and protection over each of you and your families in the mighty name of Jesus. May the Lamb receive the full reward of His suffering!!

Peace be with you,

Chris, Lizzi, Malakai, Laila, Rhema, Moses, and Zion ♥️
