"Faith is a redirecting of our sight, a getting out of the focus of our own vision and getting God into focus. Sin has twisted our vision inward and made it self-regarding. Unbelief has put self where God should be, and is perilously close to the sin of Lucifer who said, 'I will set my throne above the throne of God.' Faith looks out instead of in and the whole of life falls into line." A.W. Tozer
Aloha ,
It's hard to believe that our time in Norway has come to a close. Tomorrow we hop on a plane to begin the long journey home to Kona. There are so many feelings and so many stories to tell...but the underlying theme for all of them is God drew hearts closer to himself, His manifest presence was encountered by hundreds of people, and so many were set free from the bondage of sin and death. We saw absolute freedom be released over the people of Norway, bodies be healed, and courage released over people to live what they believed rather than continue to store up more knowledge of God in their heads and live lives of unbelief.
One really cool story comes out of our time in Molde last Saturday (May 27th). For International Day, we were given the amazing privilege of playing music on a stage set up in the city center of town among the booths where many people had gathered to try foods from over 50 nations represented. It was a big event hosted by the city and we had perfect weather for it. Some friends of ours from Latvia made the ask to allow us into the program and we received a slot at 2:30pm (the busiest time of the event...only Jesus!). We sang 'Amazing Grace' and 'No Longer Slaves'. As we began to worship in the public square a palpable shift began to occur in the city center. I was told by a friend that when I was singing 'Amazing Grace' the Holy Spirit came and encountered a muslim woman who was watching and listening to the music. She was so overwhelmed by the love and grace of God that she was brought to tears and began weeping. My friend went over and began to explain to her what was happening and was able to pray for her in the name of Jesus. The next evening at church two muslim woman came to the gathering, one of them was the lady touched by God's love. She wants to know more about this Jesus who sent His Spirit to her while we sang. Isn't God amazing?!

(The stage in front of City Hall where we got to 'Carry the Love' of Jesus.)
We have countless stories like this and others of people encountering the love of God like never before and surrendering their lives to the Lordship of Jesus. Jesus is so kind and we are blown away that He would allow us, rather, call us to partner with him in bringing people back to Him. Being an ambassador of Christ and walking in the authority He's given us is so overwhelming and humbling. Thank you God for what you have done in this outreach phase!

* Pray for travel mercies.* That the unity breaking out among the body of Christ would be lasting because of personal pursuit of God and God alone. That the Spirit of the living God would give a fresh empowerment for a new wave of revival that would spread throughout all of Europe.* I just got word today that our van in Hawaii is having transmission problems. Mahalo for your prayers and your financial gifts. Knowing we have so many of you contending for us in prayer lifts our spirits each and every day.
May we all throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles us so that we can run with perseverance the race marked out for each of us. Let us each fix our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith who considered it JOY to endure the cross for us so that we don't lose heart or grow weary. Jesus is the same yesterday and today and forever. Amen.
With Grateful and Expectant Hearts,
Chris, Lizzi, Malakai, Laila, and Rhema
