Israel Via Kenya?

To Know God...and Make Him Known

“Now if their trespass means riches for the world, and if their failure means riches for the Gentiles, how much more will their full inclusion mean!” Romans 11:12

No Boundaries...

It's funny how God gets our eyes on one thing in order to get our attention for another thing. This has happened to me over and over. When I began my travels to Kenya this past April, God burdened me to read the last book that Loren wrote before he passed away (Co-Founder of YWAM). It's called "No Boundaries: Within God's will." There are so many stories of faith; hearing from God, and going wherever He leads. God reminded me of a special moment I had with Loren a year ago. He and Darlene had convened all of the YWAM base leaders from around the globe to bring a word of strengthening over what God wanted YWAM to be, the original words, that started YWAM. It was a beautiful time of teaching and commissioning our leaders to carry YWAM forward after Loren passed. During one of the breaks, Loren was sitting back stage resting and asked to have me brought over. He wanted to pray a blessing over me. He encouraged me, again, that I was the person to carry OMT (oral mother tongue) scripture songs forward in the mission of YWAM. He then prayed for impartation, “that everything you have given to me, Father, give to this man in Jesus name.” I was humbled that Loren would pray this over me and I treasured it in my heart. As I landed in Kenya, God was saying to me that “it’s time to plant all of Loren’s teachings deep within your heart” so I can carry the original blueprints forward in a global way. Immediately, I was gripped to say “yes” to the mantle that Loren carried his whole life regarding the great commission, young people, unity across the body of Christ, and innovative missions work.

Israel Via Kenya

The first morning in Nairobi, as I was reading scripture/spending time with God, He began to grip my heart for Israel. I love Israel but I've never been intentional to pray for Israel. Later that morning, our conversation turned to Israel. I treasured the time in my heart and we prayed for Israel. The very next day, we were driving to the studio to rehearse for a live recording we were going to be a part of at the end of the worship conference. On the drive, I was talking to my friend about Israel and he began to tell me about being in Jerusalem and especially about a House of Prayer at the top of a high rise building overlooking the city. I was shocked, as I was immediately reminded of a conversation I had with one of my speakers in the School of Worship in October 2022. I had seen a vision of a bridge from Kona to Hollywood and this speaker is moving to Hollywood to minister to the entertainment industry. We believed God was asking us to work together in this. A year after making this covenant, he was back in Kona (2023) and he was asking me to pray about a dream he had received a few days before he came to Kona. In the dream, he saw another bridge that went to Jerusalem. Immediately, he was in a high rise building that had a House of Prayer at the top overlooking the city. He didn’t know what that meant. I have been praying and was shocked to hear this description, once again, in Nairobi. I was stunned. I thought to myself, “there really is another bridge to Jerusalem from Kona.” I said a quick prayer, “Lord, let your Kingdom come and your will be done in this.” That very afternoon, I found out that a handful of us were invited to meet with the Ambassador of Israel to Kenya later that week. That following Thursday, I found myself dressed up to go to the Israeli Embassy to meet with the Deputy Ambassador, the Ambassadors wife, and their assistant Janie. This was my first "trip to Israel" and we received the "full debrief" of the October attacks and subsequent attacks since. To speak of all that God did in the meeting would take a whole other email. God did a sign and a wonder and I find myself in a unique position, bringing encouragement to these Israeli diplomats. I'm also working with them to bring clarity to young people across the world regarding the current conflict in the middle east. I had been reading Romans 11, prior to the meeting, and was very much marked by the Lord to plead that Israel would know their savior, Jesus. Please join me in prayer for this.

End of the Year Giving

The last few weeks I have been reflecting on all that God has done and provided for over these last, nearly, 8 years of missions work with YWAM. I'm humbled and awestruck at God's goodness and mercy over our lives and over each of yours. As we head into Quarter 4 of this year, I have a simple ask to make. Would you consider us in your year end giving plan? Year to date, we find ourselves, approximately, $20,000 below what we budgeted for income this year. We wanted to make this need known because we know how much you all care for us and pray for us. This feels like such a huge number, but we know our God is bigger than this number. The general cost of living has been the highest we've ever seen since moving to Kona...but we know we are not the only ones who are feeling this difficulty. While we've never been in this position before (as a family), we also know that God is stretching our faith and forcing us to dig deep for the future decades of ministry! Click HERE to GIVEFinal EncouragementsLiz and I cannot even begin to express our heartfelt gratitude for the team that God has gathered around us. Thank you for being missionaries around the world with us, praying for us, believing with us, trusting God in all things with us! God has birthed a 15 year vision for School of Worship that we recently rolled out to our staff team of 35 people. We are excited to share this vision of the future with you in the coming months and also believing that God will bring another 30 staff, here to Kona, for these purposes. We are expectant for many breakthroughs and we celebrate what God has done these past years through our simple obedience to Him. We pray blessing, favor, increase, and protection over each of you and your families in the mighty name of JesusMay the Lamb of God receive the full reward of His suffering!!

Peace be with you,Chris, Lizzi, Malakai, Laila, RhemaMoses, and Zion ♥️
