To Know God...and Make Him Known

New Year Joy

As I write this, I'm still quite amazed out how quickly the year of our Lord, 2024, has come and gone! For all of us, I know it has been filled with some of the highest heights with God, and some of the lowest of the lows wondering "God, where did you go?" In the midst of it all, our great hope is Jesus and His joy, glory, rest; his very presence with us. Even in the moments we didn't feel him, he was always there. I love how Charles Spurgeon says it, "Celestial spirits enjoy communion with their Lord, and this is not denied to us; they rest in his love, and we have perfect peace in him...We will this year gather celestial fruits on earthly ground, where faith and hope have made the desert like the garden of the Lord...O for grace to feed on Jesus, and so to eat of the fruit of the land of Canaan this year!"

A New Year's Liturgy

O Children of the Living God, what is your Father's greatest desire for you this year? That we should love our eternal King with all our hearts, with all our souls, with all our minds, and with all our strength. And how should we show this love?By remembering him at all times. By cultivating thankfulness for his many blessings, and trusting his good providence for the meeting of our needs. By loving all whose lives intersect our own. By choosing to serve rather than to be served, to be wounded rather than to wound, and by bearing patiently with the failings of others, extending the same kindness, mercy, and compassion that God in Christ has so graciously offered us.

O Children of God, casting your cares upon His strong shoulders, now surrender your own agendas for this day and this year, and instead be led by the workings of His Spirit. Now you who are loved of God, step forward into this new year appointed by Him, that you might journey through its days in peace and the grace and the love for your Lord.

Lead us this year, Lord Christ, that we might walk its paths in the light of the hope of our coming redemption. Amen. (Excerpt from 'Every Moment Holy' New Year's Liturgy)

Lasting Impact

Thank you for your unwavering partnership with us. We believe the missions work we do is incredibly meaningful and we are so grateful that you do too. Together we have trained missionaries, musicians, worship leaders, done targeted evangelistic ministry, supported indigenous movements around the world, helped to deliver Bibles in newly translated languages, multiplied School of Worship locally and globally, and helped see new scripture songs come to life in newly translated languages. There are countless stories of hope within each of these categories thanks to you and the empowerment of the Holy Spirit in each of our lives.

Still, over 2 billion people have not had the opportunity to accept or reject Jesus. We believe everyone has a right to that opportunity. With your help, we are able to play a part in meeting this need.

As we look ahead to 2025, would you consider making a "end of year" financial gift before the end of the day? Every contribution, no matter the size, helps to make a difference in many lives. This will help us to kick off the New Year strong.

Blessing

May the Lord bless you and keep you. May the Lord make his face shine upon you, and be gracious to you. May the Lord lift up his countenance upon you. May the Lord give you peace. And may you gather celestial fruits on earthly ground, where faith and hope have made the desert like the garden of our Lord.
