To Know God...and Make Him Known

“Jesus did many other things. If they were all written down, I suppose the whole world could not contain the books that would be written." John 21:25
Aloha
Dear ,
You are Ohana (family) and we are so grateful for your partnership with us for the cause of Christ. Our family is home in Kona now, but we wanted to give you a quick update of what happened in Myanmar! From Jan 10-21, 296 people from 29 nations representing 33 international ministries, partnered with 111 local ministries across 5 cities to see Myanmar encounter the Gospel of Jesus. Our time was marked with an enjoyable unity as we moved together as ONE for the Great Commission. Many of our local contacts say it was the largest foreigner outreach in the nations history. The five cities were Mandalay, Taunggyi, Mawlamyine, Falam, Khampat.
It truly is a “kairos” time in Myanmar! There were too many testimonies to record and it’s so difficult to share everything in this little update, but we will try our best to summarize. It feels like the last verse in John 21!
We began our time with a prayer gathering in Yangon on Jan. 11. We spent time interceding for the nation in areas of reconciliation, revival, and reformation. A highlight was Dr. Anna Hluan, the Vice President’s wife (of Myanmar), sharing a powerful word on how the nation has changed and that nothing is impossible for God. After Dr. Anna spoke I led worship as we responded to all God was showing us for the nation of Myanmar.
Afterwards, our teams went to the 5 cities of Mandalay (Mandalay Division), Mawlamyine (Mon State), Taunggyi (Shan State), Khampat (Sagaing Division), and Falam (Chin State). Our family traveled to Taunggyi. Thousands gathered for 4 Nights of Evangelistic Meetings and day time outreaches to unreached villages (Pao, Shan, Danu, Mon, Burmese), schools, hospitals, orphanages, gyms, businesses, and many other places! We trained over 1,000 of the Christian leaders in these areas from 31 different people groups having them adopt a plan of action to reach the unreached in their areas and distribute the Bible. Some traveled up to 2 days to attend.
2 of the cities our teams went to were Buddhist strongholds (Mandalay & Mawlamyine) with less than a 1% Christian population. Yet, both showed unusual receptivity to the Gospel. Our committee in Mandalay said this was the largest Gospel event in their city’s history with 7000+ gathered a night. The Church in Mawlamyine claimed to only have 2,000 believers in the whole city (pop. 289,000), yet saw over 1,000 decisions for Christ through the Gospel campaign! Also, a handful of unreached villages on the surrounding islands around the city witnessed their very first person surrendering to Jesus!
Our time was marked with such a ripeness to the Gospel, we saw so many things but it was so incredible to witness all of this together as a family. Our kids prayed for people in unreached villages and distributed Bibles to children in unreached villages. At one Preschool/Kindergarten that we went to, Kai felt stirred to share the Gospel. So we practiced, I sat next to him, and he did his very best to tell those kids about God’s love for them through Jesus. in partnership with the translator, 21 kids made decisions to follow Christ in that moment. How great is our God! That is only one of the many lifelong memories established on this ministry trip.
Some of the stats from our time...
Gospel Seeds Sown: 56,239
Salvation Decisions: 4,074
Re-dedications: 567
Physical Healings: 813
Partial & Full Bibles Distributed: 100,781

190,000+ additional partial and full Bibles in 14 languages were left in nation for the local believers to distribute as a part of our EBPN (End Bible Poverty Now) strategy. Many leaders adopted unreached villages in their areas to see the Gospel go forth in places it has not yet been.
Thank you for your intercession, partnership, and deep love for Jesus purposes across the earth! Jesus is receiving the reward of His suffering in the land of Myanmar! May the knowledge of His glory fill Myanmar as the waters cover the seas.
Prayer Points
Next week we have our live album recording in partnership with Integrity Music. Pray that all goes smoothly and we capture these songs well. (Feb 17&18)
Currently my (Chris) passport is at the Afgh****tan Embassy and I need quick approval of my visa for a God planned trip in order for me to leave Feb 21 (More details to come).
I (Chris) have a trip to Bhutan in partnership with Voice of the Martyrs to train and equip worship leaders and musicians in the country. This is a first generation church that I’ve been given an opportunity to pour into! Pray for all the logistics to come together for an early April ministry trip. There are other possible dates but this is the first date we’re going after.
Please pray for wisdom and discernment on decisions that need to be made for possible trips late April into May…which ones to say ‘yes,’ ‘no,’ or ‘do all of it.’
Without your partnership, none of this is possible! Thank you for your perseverance with us to see people “know God…and make Him known!” We praise God together with you in this report!May the Lamb receive the full reward of His suffering!!Peace be with you,Chris, Lizzi, Malakai, Laila, Rhema, and Baby MosesP.S.- How have you seen God "move" recently? We would love to hear what God has been teaching you or using you in! We're always so encouraged when we get a reply!
