Innovation In A Season of Global Change

God has been so gracious to our family that in the midst of so much change, He has allowed our families minds to stay focused on Him. As we've kept our eyes on the author and perfecter of our faith we've found He's given us tranquil hearts...Peace amidst the raging storms around us.I can only imagine how incredibly busy many of you have been in this season of pivoting. However, what an incredible time of creativity and innovation!Last February while I was ministering in Afghanistan, I had no clue how drastically everything was going to change the week after I arrived home. Within weeks, instead of leading worship in huge crowds I was leading worship looking at a computer with hundreds of little squares or comments from people letting me know they were worshiping with me. Indeed, what a time of pivoting it has been in ministry for Liz and I. In the midst of my many meetings, I realized that it was really important for me to spearhead a new way of doing worship leader training for School of Worship. I just knew in my heart that many were wanting to use the time of quarantine to be equipped in worship and I had to move on this opportunity to meet those needs. The first week of May, I ran my ideas by our global director of School of Worship. He asked me when we should start…I said that we needed to start in just a couple short weeks. Together we rallied teachers, global online staff, marketing, etc., and launched the online Global SOW Seminar on May 25th. It was incredible to have 88 students join everyday, Mon-Fri, for four weeks to go deep with God, get equipped in worship leading, and song writing. We had over 33 countries represented in the school from Asia to South America and everywhere in between. Some students had been wanting to do a School of Worship for years but could never get a Visa to my school in Kona. Other students were from closed, muslim, nations where they had to keep their screen black and couldn’t speak to protect their identity. Even though we couldn’t be together physically, God released prophetic words over and over. It was incredible. This summer, as well, has been filled with such gifts from the Lord. New connections, ideas, and forward movement on a 'God Idea' were birthed on a trip to Nashville this summer. (Flying definitely looks different these days but the kids were champs at wearing their masks without complaining!) Hopefully more info to come but for now be praying as I and a few others take simple steps of faith in obedience to the Lord. We had an opportunity to see family and friends, as well, in California. Shout out to OVERFLOW the Youth giving me an opportunity to lead worship for your conference and to tell stories of the persecuted church in Afghanistan! What a privilege!Currently we are finishing our mandatory 2 week quarantine back in Hawaii and I'm so ready to get back into the rotation on campus for our daily prayer and worship. A new quarter is coming and we still have some students coming to the campus so we are doing all we can to prepare for them, what the fall may hold, and continue to initiate new ways of training in this season.

Thank you so much for standing with us in this mission that God has sent us on as a family. Without your partnership, financially and in prayer, none of this is possible! Thank you for your perseverance with us to see people “know God…and make Him known!” We praise God together with you knowing that He's not surprised by all that's going on in the world and that He's working out His plans! What a GREAT GOD WE SERVE!!!May the Lamb receive the full reward of His suffering!!Peace be with you,Chris, Lizzi, Malakai, Laila, Rhema, and Moses
