Advent Hope

Advent is a season in the Church calendar that calls Christ followers to prepare themselves for the coming of the savior; Jesus Christ. It’s also a time filled with expectancy, a time to reorient our priorities to “prepare Him room” in our hearts, minds, and lives. 

The whole of creation is “crying out,” testifying to the glory of God. It screams of the hope we have as children of God. Our hope isn’t like some sort of kite blowing at the mercy of changing winds but is an “anchor for the soul, firm and secure.” Our biblical hope is inseparable from faith in God and is not simply a desire but a fact anchored in what God has done in Christ. We have hope because of Christ and we have assurance of that hope.

May we lean into God in new and fresh ways this season that puts Jesus as our non-negotiable this Christmas and everything else as negotiable… 

Dreams Fulfilled

When I first took over the School of Worship in 2018, I truly had no idea of the adventure God was about to take us on. We had nine students and four staff which dwindled to eight students and three staff by the end of the school due to health issues. As with anything worth doing, it hasn't always been easy but has continued to be incredibly fulfilling. For everything that our family has sacrificed, there has been a blessing of even more value than what we sacrificed. Above all of that, Jesus is our great reward and we've had Him in abundance. His presence has sustained through out and will continue to do so. I'm very excited to confirm that the dream of a bi-lingual korean/english school will be coming to fruition in Jan of 2025...NEXT MONTH! God spoke this school to me in 2019 and I have interceded for the leaders, the staff, the students, and never gave up. Six years to the day God has made a way! But more than me, the team that God has positioned around us has worked diligently in prayer and practicality to see God's dreams come to pass with great unity. Pray that the unity, which has been growing, is continually protected by the very hand of God himself.  

Much To Be Grateful For

Thank you for the ways that you have partnered with us in our incredibly important missions work. Together we have trained missionaries, musicians, worship leaders, done targeted evangelistic ministry, supported indigenous movements around the world, helped to deliver Bibles in newly translated languages, multiplied School of Worship globally, and helped see new scripture songs come to life in newly translated languages. Over 2 billion people have not had the opportunity to accept or reject Jesus. We believe everyone has a right to that opportunity. With your help, we are able to play a part in meeting this need.

As we come near the end of 2024, would you consider an "end of year" financial gift to the meaningful work that we do in missions with YWAM? May the Lord bless you and keep you. May the Lord make his face shine upon you, and be gracious to you. May the Lord lift up his countenance upon you, and give you peace. Amen.
